Dr Martina Walsh-Khattak Rehabilitation Consultant attacks my integrity in a Report she distributes to other Healthcare Professionals

DISCLAIMER. This Website is based on my experiences and any opinions expressed are mine alone. I apologise unreservedly for any errors or omissions which, if drawn to my attention, will be corrected. I have done my very best to make my account both honest and accurate, and since establishing my first Website in September 1999 (after purchasing a 'rogue' new-build house), no errors of fact have been drawn to my attention: nor have I been obliged by anyone to withdraw any website content. Whenever attempts have been made to close a site my ISP has always supported me, for which I am very grateful. I have evidence to support the claims that I am making. My aim is to SHAME those responsible!

14th March 2011

I have never allowed anyone to attack my integrity and get away with it.

What did she do?  Accompanying the 'Final Response to my Complaint' from Mrs Tracy Taylor, Chief Executive Officer of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust was a two-page Report from my Consultant Dr Walsh-Khattak: which she circulated.

Dr Walsh-Khattak left attacking my integrity to the very last paragraph where she wrote ...

'Finally, we had hoped to discuss the content of this letter with Mr Dawson at a Meeting arranged for 17th February 2011, but unfortunately Mr Dawson did not attend.'

This is simply not true.  *Please see Mrs Taylor harasses me!

Dr Walsh-Khattak has deliberately given the impression that I simply did not turn up at a very important Meeting arranged for my benefit. Any Healthcare Professional reading this would appreciate that a Meeting like this would have involved other very senior healthcare professionals, all of whom would have been inconvenienced, to the detriment of other Patients.

Appropriate as Dr Walsh-Khattak is a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine ... ...

Defense Attorney:
Will you please state your age?

Little Old Lady:
I am 94 years old.

Defense Attorney:
Will you tell us, in your own words, what happened the night of April 1st?

Little Old Lady:
There I was, sitting there in my swing on my front porch on a warm spring evening, when a young man comes creeping up on the porch and sat down beside me.

Defense Attorney:
Did you know him?

Little Old Lady:
No, but he sure was friendly.

Defense Attorney:
What happened after he sat down?

Little Old Lady:
He started to rub my thigh.

Defense Attorney:
Did you stop him?

Little Old Lady:
No, I didn't stop him.

Defense Attorney:
Why not?

Little Old Lady:
It felt good. Nobody had done that since my Albert died some 30 years ago.

Defense Attorney:
What happened next?

Little Old Lady:
He began to rub my breasts.

Defense Attorney:
Did you stop him then?

Little Old Lady:
No, I did not stop him.

Defense Attorney:
Why not?

Little Old Lady:
His rubbing made me feel all alive and excited. I haven't felt that good in years!

Defense Attorney:
What happened next?

Little Old Lady:
Well, by then, I was feeling so 'spicy' that I just laid down and told him
'Take me, young man. Take me now!'

Defense Attorney:
Did he take you?

I

I

I

Little Old Lady:
Hell, no! He just yelled, ' April Fool!' And that's when I shot him, the little b......!

Not only did Dr Walsh-Khattak send her Report to my GP, she also sent a copy to:

A Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine at my local Hospital, who is likely to become involved

The Orthotics Manager at my local Hospital, she didn't have a name so she refers to her as cc. 'Xx'

A Consultant Neurologist at University Hospital Birmingham who I have a follow-up with shortly - there will not be an opportunity to explain my account of events, there never is.

This will no doubt result in my conduct being discussed and Dr Walsh-Khattak's allegation circulating.

Dr Walsh-Khattak took what she saw as an opportunity to attack my integrity.

Why did she feel compelled to make this comment, other than out of spite?

I hadn't felt that Dr Walsh-Khattak had done much for me, and on 10th December 2010 I wrote to her complaining. She has never deigned to reply - which says a lot.  (I did in fact receive an email acknowledgment from her in February!) In response to my complaint I received a mildly threatening letter from Mrs Taylor, the Chief Executive Officer of Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Trust, which I estimated she must have dictated within a few hours of receipt!

I lodge a 'Formal Complaint' and do not receive a response for five and a half months (and when I do it's rubbish!) - Mrs Taylor responds to a complaint addressed to Dr Walsh-Khattak in hours!  Mmmm!

Got a 'granny'?  Then you MUST show her this! Julie Andrews sings ...

... her favourite things (From 'The Sound of Music'))

Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting,
Walkers and  handrails and new dental fittings,
Bundles of magazines tied up in string,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses,
Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses,
Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings,
These are a few of my favorite things.

When the pipes leak, When the bones creak,
  When the knees go bad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
And then I don't feel, so bad.

Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions,
No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions,
Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring,
These are a few of my favorite things.

Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin',
Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin',
And we won't mention our short shrunken frames,
When we remember our favorite things.

When the joints ache, When the hips break,
      When the eyes grow dim,
Then I remember the great life I've had,
And then I don't feel, so bad.

The current situation is hopeless and my wife and I have holidays booked.

Background.  Very simply, Dr Walsh-Khattak wrote a two page report to my GP discharging me into his care - (the copy sent to me was undated).  This will undoubtedly lead to further long delays that will do even more damage to my feet and to what little mobility I have not already been deprived of.  It will also be a huge problem for my GP to deal with as, like almost every other GP he has very little knowledge of the mechanics of the provision of bespoke shoes and complex orthoses.  'Rockers' are an immensely critical component of my 'prescription' and when I mentioned this, my GP acknowledged that it meant nothing to him, nor would it to other GP's.  I have been abandoned without footwear or orthoses fit to wear, and yet Dr Walsh-Khattak has suggested that my GP arranges a 'multi-professional case conference' to meet my needs and ensure 'That ongoing bespoke footwear and orthotic insoles be provided that is based on ongoing assessment'.  My GP has been left to arrange all this and then source shoes and orthoses!

It had previously taken the West Midlands Rehabilitation Centre FIVE MONTHS to provide me with shoes, which were miles too small and I couldn't tolerate wearing them!   Completely unsuitable replacements followed AFTER A FURTHER EIGHT MONTHS!

What is more, my latest pair of orthoses, provided by the WMRC, are completely worn out and unfit to wear, due to a manufacturing defect and because of constant rubbing - my only pair of shoes are extremely baggy at the heel and do not capture my feet.  Our holiday insurance does not cover being without any footwear, and we stand to lose a great deal of money. There was a delay of ELEVEN WEEKS before I received these orthoses, during which time I was left to manage with ones that were completely worn out.  I am back in the same position yet again, which has been a feature of the care the WMRC has provided ever since 3rd April 2009.  This aspect was a feature of my Complaint that was simply ignored. FACT!

This means that I have nothing fit to wear under and around my seriously neuropathic feet - the Trust have been made aware of this but have not replied.

Dr Walsh-Khattak was aware of the very serious allegations that I had made, and apparently she and those others present waited for a period of one hour and thirty minutes for me to arrive.  Plenty of time for them to review the allegations I had made five and a half months earlier, and compare them to Mrs Taylor's 'Final Response', if they had done so they should have been shocked.

Mrs Taylor's very authoritative 'Final Response', following a so called 'investigation' by Mr Mark Senior, General Manager-Operations at the WMRC completely fails to address serious allegations, and is stuffed full of misrepresentations - this is a Fact.  *See for example 'Lies; lies; damned lies, and statistics'.
